Welcome to Long Beach’s high-speed weekend! LBT has a plan to get you around the city, whether you’re looking to travel by bus or by boat.

2018 water taxi season officially kicks off during Grand Prix weekend and this year there’s a new way to ride. For the first time ever, LBT is introducing mobile ticketing.

How to Get Your Mobile Ticket

Save time and avoid the hassle by downloading the Token Transit app to purchase a mobile ticket before Grand Prix weekend. Your $15 day pass gets you unlimited rides on water taxis and LBT buses.

How to purchase a mobile ticket:

  • Download Token Transit by visiting tokentransit.com/app or text TOKEN to 41411.
  • Input your phone number and type the verification code
  • Allow access to your location.
  • Click anywhere on the “My Passes” screen (Android) or click the yellow “Buy Passes” bar (iPhone) and have your credit card information ready.
  • Select Long Beach Transit as your agency.
  • Choose the appropriate day pass.

Using your mobile ticket on AquaLink or AquaBus:

  • When you get to the dock, go to your stored passes and tap to use your day pass.
  • Show your ticket to an AquaLink or AquaBus crew member.
  • Hop on board!

Using your mobile ticket on Long Beach Transit buses:

  • When your bus arrives, go to your stored passes and tap to use your day pass.
  • Show your ticket to the LBT bus operator.
  • Hop on board!

AquaLink runs between Alamitos Bay and Aquarium stops only during Grand Prix weekend.

AquaBus stops include Shoreline Village, Queen Mary, Aquarium, and Hotel Maya.

No app? No Worries

You can purchase a $15 day pass at the water taxi docks and receive a wristband that gets you unlimited rides on water taxis and LBT buses.

Regular Bus Service

To ride you can use your Token Transit mobile ticket, purchase a bus pass from the LBT booth at the Long Beach Grand Prix Lifestyle Expo, or pay $1.25 cash one way. Hop on the Passport bus for free Downtown service between the Queen Mary and the Aquarium.
